asking the most clueless questions about life @spirko sent me

And just imagine, it was only a few decades ago that the Canadian provinces east of Quebec threatened to secede from Canada and join the US if Quebec were to be granted independence (as was being petitioned), as that would cut off those provinces from the rest of Canada...

countries are stupid. governments are stupider.

In response to my question about what to do with my stock certificate for 20 shares of Biogen in 1993:

"Stick it in a drawer and forget that you own it".

I had purchased the stock at around $12 per share. That $240 purchase is now worth around $19k. All that goes up isn't just bitcoin. :)

This is exactly true. Without the support of the proletariat, government would not be able to conduct war against the proles. As George Carlin once said: "the public sucks".

The article also correctly mentions that what people call "AI" is actually just a Large Language Module. AI doesn't think, kids. It's not "intelligent". But the people who program it and the people whom they serve are indeed intelligent. Be warned.

I make this same point often. Retirees are not bankrupting Social Security. It's all of the other beneficiaries added over the decades. These people may need assistance, but they should be under HHS with the other welfare programs. Retiree benefits are extremely easy to administer, while other welfare recipients require a lot of screening and updating statuses that is already being done by HHS, so duplicating those efforts at SSI is also a waste of resources as well as a misuse of funds.

I would gladly accept a lump sum, one time payment, in the form of an IRA with no penalties for withdrawal (thus allowing for further capital gains without penalty), of only the funds paid in plus interest earned, using the weekly t-bill rates to calculate the accrual. After that, I would no longer be any burden to the state at all.

LOL it's hilarious to hear those "regular folk" deride the will of the majority of the voters in our "sacred democracy" as stupid, evil and all of the "ists", while the obvious truth, that the blues have lost "the regular folks" to the reds, is quite obvious. Harris won 9 of the 10 richest states in the country, and 17 of the top 20. Of the remaining states including DC, she went 3-28. It used to be that the reds were derided as the party of the rich, but somehow the blues bungled their way out of that support. Maybe deriding them and making fun of them wasn't the best strategy.

Indeed. I believe that all jobs are teachable - in fact, the best employee must be able to do only two things: show up every day on time (I'm sure that there is an analogous rule for this work from home era), and think on one's feet. Anyone that does those two things will be your top employee. They are a bit rare, but not impossible to find. The most difficult part is keeping them!

Agreed. No "election" will ever bring about the end of oligarchic rule. The Declaration of Independence specifically noted that "all men are created equal" and then less than ten years later, many of the same people who wrote those words presented a system whereby a hierarchy of man ruling over other men would be formed.

The only people that "win" in an election are the oligarchs who refute Natural Law.

Sadly, nostr keeps eating the second part of my post, which is the imprtant part. I wrote: Not asking you to take up arms. Just asking you to stop actively supporting the enemy. Walk away, stay home and encourage government workers to go on labour strikes of indefinite length. Government has lot of guns, but they can't pay the enforces without a lot of paper pushers.

"Not all federal employees are evil" That is true. But all federal employees work, presumably not under duress, for the would-be rulers who actively subjugate the proletariat in every possible way. The idea of people actively and voluntarily working for their avowed enemy isn't new, but it should be stopped. The best way to foil the plans of the would-be rulers of humanity is to stop working for them. No violence - in fact, you can stay at home and do absolutely nothing. All of the weapons, all of the "laws" and "justice", are useless without the support staff : the paper pushers who process revenue collection, payroll, office cleaning, et cetera. They have seemingly mundane jobs but are in fact literally the backbone of the state. If they walk away, there are no rulers. There is no more "continuity of goverrnment" (notice that there is no "continuity of humanity" - COG will be safely at Raven Rock when their bombs fall, when their mercenaries kill the proles, when their environmental poison kills the crops and sullies the water necessary for survival. Palestine is just a dress rehearsal. #COG #walkaway #nostr #grownostr

exactly. people see "government" as a cudgel to use to force those with whom they don't agree to comply unwillingly. it's like they say about gun safety: "never be in a room with a loaded gun. unless you're the one holding it."

exactly. the idea that "government" has levels of "secrecy" but the public should have no expectancy of privacy is completely backwards. imagine getting some friends together, opening a bar, hiring a bouncer, and then the bouncer ends up in total charge of the bar - hiring, firing, promotions, prices, hours, and keeping the books from the owners.

agreed. this one as especially good. i was tempted to send this to my bornie friends, but let's face it, what's the use?

Tonight's head scratcher:

One of the many advantages of being in the government is the "diplomatic pouch". Governments may designate anyone as a "diplomat", which gives them access to carry a "diplomatic pouch". Diplomatic pouches are not subject to any form of inspection or confiscation by any government authority. This is supposedly so that "diplomats" may carry "sensitive" information between countries, like war plans or financial cooperation agreements, and keep them safe from the prying eyes of the proletariat.

Of course, in today's day and age, information is transferred mostly in electronic form, but diplomatic pouches have never been more in vogue.

When one thinks of a "pouch", one may think of a valise, or maybe even a briefcase, but diplomatic pouches can be, and indeed are, of any size, including a railroad car-sized container, like those loaded onto cargo ships, or indeed a group of same.

These cannot be inspected in any way - no physical inspection, no x-ray, no anything. The contents are completely unknown to anyone but the holder and of course are not subject to any form of customs restriction of any kind.

One with a dark view of government officials can imagine all of the many forms of contraband that may be transported in this way - a way that would make a drug cartel kingpin green with envy. Drugs, weapons, money, viruses, children - who knows? What could you fit into a series of railroad cars for transport if you knew that no one would be allowed to inspect them?

But my observation is that this is a "courtesy" - between governments. Not to be used by the proletariat in any way. Just another example of how the only true war on Earth isn't between countries or religions or races or sexes - it's between the government collectively - yes, "it's all one big club and you ain't in it" - and those being governed.

The prisoners don't even know they're in prison - in fact, they're making the prison bigger and stronger willfully.

Even if...

even if covid were real...

even if covid caused deaths a few years ago...

there is no.

repeat NO.

there is NO natural menace to life that has increased or even maintained its potency over time. NONE.

Viruses are symbiotes/parasites. Without a living host, they cannot procreate. A virus that kills its host would be acting against nature, in that by evolving to be MORE lethal, it would then be ensuring its own destruction. The only way a virus would continue to be dangerous after mutations would be if it were artificially being forced to do so. As far as I know, only humans have that capability.

even the vidiots that watch TV are starting to glom onto this most basic of concepts. As I have said before, my immediate circle of acquaintances are as blue as ActBlue and as TV addled as anyone, and even they pooh poohed the notion of Covid's return. The consensus was that, like the flu, it will be here forever and every year there will be an outbreak, but nothing to fear.

Still waiting for the electionpox though.
