Building a compost sensor. Transmits over LoRa.

At least they weren't leaking...

Timelapse from the rocket burn yesterday.

I intended to record the entire burn and cooldown but the camera video file stops after about an hour. Oh well, the camera should have been higher up to show the top of the bench anyways. Next time!
The modification does seem to even out the heating of the bench. I had a little trouble with smoke when loading too much fuel in the feed tube, which never happened before. It would make sense that it's not drawing air in as strongly with the longer route for the flue gases to travel. The chimney itself is also about 2 feet shorter after upgrading it to stainless steel.

New category for the Darwin awards.
Testing out a modification to the rocket bench.

I added an elbow to the chimney intake and extended it horizontally to the end of the bench. This should help distribute the heat more evenly in the bench, and might allow extending the bench length later.

I think it's normal to be a bit slow with wild yeast. You're not going to have as many of them to start with compared to commercial yeast, and commercial yeast is engineered to ferment like rocket engines.

gm frens, StablityAI released weights for SD3 Medium today. Initial results appear to have the same "safety" censorship-related problems as previous base models (mangled hands and bad anatomy), and the licensing is unclear for commercial use which makes open finetunes at a larger scale (eg Pony) unlikely. At least we'll always have SD1.5 and SDXL.

100% snake oil. You'd be better off improving your soil biology with good quality compost. The soil food web does everything claimed by this technique and is backed by actual scientific evidence.
Great plant. The flowers last for a while, and have a nice fragrance. I've never had any trouble with birds in the PNW. Jams have turned out a somewhat unappetizing opaque pink color. Fresh eating is the best use I've found but I'd love to hear about other options.
Cool scooter. I'd go with compost extract over compost tea. Teas are meant to be used as foliar sprays. Feeding the organisms in the tea brewer gets them active so they produce glues and then stick to plant surfaces. Compost extract will carry the organisms down into the soil. Extract can be made by hand in a bucket too, no need for an air pump unless you need to make a lot of extract.
I'm too impatient to wait for this to load: https://nostr.watch/relays/statistics
Stumbled across this site while looking for something else. Lots of interesting articles like this one: https://www.gardenmyths.com/cedar-mulch-repel-insects/
I wouldn't use them if they're fresh because of the preservative chemicals, but it might be better than nothing depending on your situation.
Where is Galt's Gulch? I'm ready to quit.
Looks like you have enough room for a motion activated sprinkler.
