The Slovakian PM, who's recently survived an assassination attempt, has raised similar concerns...

For critical issues requiring important decisions, top politicians will tend to outsource and rely on private consulting firms rather than in-house solutions. Everyone knows the work ethic in the public sector is a major concern, it lacks the efficiency and motivation you'll find in the private sector. Hiring more staff to complete the work, as the article suggests, won't solve the problem, on the contrary!

That's almost 1000 DM, more than enough to feed your family for a month, in the good old days.

"Bizzare," "terrorism," "Trump"...

How they attempt to program us by dropping all these words in one single sentence.

When in Prague, if you have a late return flight and have to check out of your apartment early, find the Kunsthalle Museum, they have lockers in the basement where you could store your luggage for the day. It's for museum visitors, so you'll have to buy a ticket...

This article (sorry, in French) confirms your analysis:

Jordan Bardella (RN) will probably become the next PM and will have to deal with the mess created by its predecessors, but will surely fail at it. This is how Macron wants to demystify the RN before the next presidential elections in 2 years.

I read the article, and I like fiatjaf even more. 😅

What's funny (actually, sad) is that in the UK, they recently changed the method for calculating excess deaths, and according to the new formula, we have officially had fewer deaths since the end of the pandemic.

No-one believes that, as the article shows... But its too little, too late from the MSM, to now start talking about it, and probably it has something to do with the coming elections, somehow...

My guess is that it's because signer events are "only" ephemeral events.

Nip44 was the first step at getting us away from nip04, with better crypto algos, and nip17 finally solved the metadata leakage issue that plagued nip04, and made it unsuitable for DMs (privacy concerns)

I agree on the single standard but I haven't taken the time to read the discussions in the different PRs, so there might be a valid reason that I'm not aware of...

I see. I've asked myself the same question previously, but I don't think so. The nip has been updated and refined several times in the last six months, but that part has always remained unchanged.

My understanding is that we're moving away from nip04 encryption only for DMs, everything else should be fine...
