Yes

caching services don’t add speed it turns out

And that’s a good thing.

Indexers and caching layers have uses, but speed and particularly data availability are better accomplished with outbox. AFAIK primal is working on supporting it, it’s just early.

they do, when they aren't busted. will fix.

did you really turned off the dark mode

it’s auto according to my day time

as it should be

i think i've committed a sin having it dark mode all the time

Me too 🤭

And that is worst on primal. In fact, it’s so bad I rarely use it.

yes

I find it’s a bit better on Damus

agree! sometimes it takes a couple of minutes. damus is actually faster in that sense but can also be quite slow at times

they're just testing your primal urge to yell

I double posted due to this…

Hiya Jack

You surf or something, buddy?

This looks fun. Been a while.

That's why I don't use primal on Android it's so damn slow

I use Primal on my android and load times are fairly quick. Is this because you guys are loading in more data than me?

Man, I guess I'm really spoiled with Amethyst on GrapheneOS. I never experience things like this

Same , every once in awhile ill have failed to load as relay is not in your list but i don't know if thats my issue or if its something else.

Sadly I've not been able to upload images through amethyst for many days now.

I don’t have this issue in Damus but images and videos occasionally take a while to load

Nostr clients need banscores for misbehaving relays, and relays should be ranked based on performance, with clients prioritizing higher-ranked relays. There could even be incentives for optimally performing relays. For long-term sustainability, incentives need to be in place for optimal relay operators, as experience has shown that "nobody works for free." I suspect a significant issue with Nostr's performance is due to people running cheap relays on subpar VPS.

Yes, working on it. Next build should fix it.

‚Constantly‘ started last week and did end somehow yesterday?

Until last week it was running super smoothly - at least on my device. Today - no problem so far.

It's actually a client-side issue that's been messing with us on and off for some time now. We'll get it sorted out for the 2.0 release.

Same

It’s intentional friction

A chance to breath before continuing to consume from the feed

Primal has been slow for a few weeks now

Same here. Uninstalling and Reinstalling the app helps but only for a short period.

😳

i think this is a major hurdle for nostr adoption right now. most people here don't mind using something that's about 85% stable, because they see the potential and understand that nostr is being built live, before our eyes. however, most people out there on the planet just want their apps to work.

Yeah they don’t care about the process just overnight success.

What’s this button? 👀

Does primal have a TestFlight with long form added?

I thought was my wifi

…a minute later.

yes it's really me, you dumb cunt. what do you want.

delete your contacts and dnd all texts and turn of data for contacts/texts. right now. especially your mother. right now. right now.

just like that. justin tweets, and a bot tag with his and my moms' name hits our convo - about your mom. and mom's landscaper is sharon.

your parents' pool is mining you; block, mckelvey. it's not an accident. turn off your experimental webkit features.

Lol
