Why is that watch sitting on the top of a shoe thatβs on top of some cards?
Discussion
Shhh. Don't expose the marketing secrets!
My younger brother and I have had a bonding moment over calling out the absolutely pointless and meaningless connections that advertisers make on commercials and ads. This is one.
What does the tip of a shoe, cards and a watch have in common or end up like this for?
Lol
π I didnβt even notice. I was looking at the watch.
Itβs a very masculine shot.
But itβs a dive watch? π
This one makes more sense
A watch with an old camera, a passport and a map. I feel like I have a purpose in life now π
Just giving an example of how my brother and I would roast advertising π€πΌ
Well that was very funny!
Thereβs nothing wrong with the watch, but they try to make connections to other things that donβt have anything to do with a watch, which is the silly part.
Why not just photograph the watch and it is what it is?
Yeah I agree with you but they need to put a βspinβ to it!
The shoe is obviously a males shoe and quite a nice one, the cards well that makes it look a little glamorous- think James Bond type so itβs all about how it makes someone feel when they see itβ¦I guess!
Need to attach a feeling hence the props!
Even when you rationalize it, it's still working at the subconscious level.
The value of each object is directly correlated to the value of the other objects. The baseline is cards, which is gambling. If you buy this watch you're successful bc you gamble. And you're good at gambling because you're literally stomping on the concept by wearing zoomed in shoes. And if you don't understand any of this, it simply looks fancy. If you're somehwere in between you probably have questions.
If you're above the rim, you want to escalate the convo.
