It would be funny if US made allies with Russia and China and Europe was left to fend for itself. Weird but funny 😆

No, thanks...

Are you an American?

Nope, West of Eastern Europe here and honestly the idea is just weird and not funny. You are from Japan, right? So there is also a ton of "red" around you.

Not really weird from a political standpoint. If you want to make peace with other superpowers, that’s one way to do it.

Yeah, it is like throwing 80 years of diplomacy into the bin. And I'm not sure if anyone liked the stability of the cold war... Eternal war is a 1984 concept. Anyway being used as a currency does feel pretty weird.

I’m not sure what you mean.

During the cold war you had world divided into spheres of influence/interest, but there was a big tension between the superpowers that is why it called cold war.

Eternal or Perpetual War is concept form Orwell's 1984 and is used as one of the way how to keep people obedient.

US was spending a lot resources the past 80 years to build this world and now they are just throwing it all away to appease Russia and peel it away from China.

US has been building the disorder …

Can you please elaborate?

US started the conflict in Ukraine by overthrowing their previous president who was in favor of peace with Russia and didn’t want to join NATO.

So why didn't the Ukrainian people welcomed the Russian troops as liberators? If that happened the war would be over in 3 days.

Everyone is being played my guess. Same as Europe has been played the entire time.

Lol no. Russia started the war with Ukraine by launching an illegal invasion of a sovereign nation as part of his longtime goal of seizing control of all the former Soviet states and reconstituting a new Soviet empire. That's been his desire since Gorbachav shook hands with Ronald Reagan. And now Trump is a helping him achieve his goal.

Remember when the US nuked Japan?

LOL

That also wasn't funny...

80 years ago Japan was raping entire cities and island chains

The USA was the only allied country that had a beef with Japan, and no one was going to leave Europe to go fight a Pacific war after being so deafeted and the army that did beat the Nazi's wasn't going to fight in the Pacific, and were more focused on taking Europe under it's umbrella.

So the fastest and easiest option was to nuke the place.

So yes, hilarious.

The Japanese weren't the good guys

I'm not in disagreement about that. Japan had to be defeated same as Germany... I'm only disputing the use of word FUNNY in serious conversation.

But you know what maybe this is just a light and humorous conversation for everyone else and I'm the only one worked up about it.

what difference would there be from now? welcoming the Russians?

Mostly just not funding the war in Ukraine.

But I’m not sure China would go for it given how Trump has been treating them

the new disorder world...

The whole NATO thing would become so lame 😂

it's obsolete

there is no soviet bloc anymore, only the chinese are holding onto that shit

no soviet, no nato, should be simple as that

What's so funny about?

Well, the US military industrial complex started the whole thing and now Europe is lying down for it while US is backing out. It’s pure irony.

IMO the US had very little to do in Ukraine in the first place (in contrast to the Middle east). UA/RU resentments go back in the beginning of the USSR. First it was the famine, Stalin's cleansing, deportations and gulags, finally Chernobyl, then the annexation of Crimea, now Donbas. None if this was coincidence Russia was always a "terrorist state" in modern terminology that conquer the weak whenever, wherever possible.

From a Russian Telegram channel...

What is this supposed to communicate?

A joke that the US was against Russia until 2025 and now is on Russia 's side. In the format of a Wikipedia war explainer box.

yeah very funny save me a spot somewhere 😅

Europe is in the worst possible position: wedged between a 25% US tariff on one side and an energy producing trade partner that you sanctioned yourself out of participating with on the other.

This has resulted in Europes economy failing, as is evidenced in Germany, once proud of it's automotive industry, but now sees Volkwagen factories being sold out to Chinese competitors, as just one example.

The war isn't popular with the voting public in almost every European country, despite being bombarded with propaganda about how we must continue to haemorage money to this proxy war or democracy will fail (even though Ukraine hasn't held an election since the start of the conflict, political opposition is threatened with violence , churches outlawed, and corruption and money laundering is the norm, not to mention the neo-Nazi paramilitaries)

EU response to this, bizarely, is to double down on the proxy war.

Ivan, the Kremlin cope you’re seething is delicious

Cope harder

how come I'm only seeing Russian propaganda then? Oh, you forgot to mention biolabs and those 300 Nato generals killed in the underground bunker. And Soros, LGBT, Ursula, WEF and other incapable lefties. Am I right?

💯

read that back and tell me its not a moron that wrote that

You’re absolutely right 👍
