The endgame for Knots was always a hard fork… Knots fans, how do you feel about this?

Probably a good time to get your coins off exchanges so you can preserve your options and not have the exchange make the choice for you.

What? Does this not instakill knots?? That was my reaction. But maybe people are clueless enough to hang on, you think?

Seems problematic for the knots project if true.

Might be time to look at LibreRelay lol. More seriously, guess Knots v29 forever it is. Though heck I'm still on 27 after picking it up before Core came out as even worse than any of us had speculated.

I wanted csv and csfs but at this rate the only winning move seems to be at least temporary ossification.

Thanks for the reminder.

cOrE devs will not back down. Just leave OP_RETURN alone. It is very simple.

Now, this is what they get for being obstinate.

What did they think was going to happen?

Angry and ready to call you a predator because why knot.

Espero que muchos se arrepientan, nunca quise a Luke

When asked for comment, Luke replied, “You’re writing an article on completely unfounded lies?”

This is a psyop.

Your intelligence is being insulted.

What intelligence?

Good point

Surely Core can just leave the OP_RETURN at 80 bytes, as it has been proven that it is a contentious change. This is how it has always been done.

The debate is getting more stupid. The conversation has gone from "filtering" to "censoring" when Knots does it.

Do you think this is a left vs right issue ? A message was given that we do not like how Core behaved on the new version topic. And if Luke goes with the his crazy idea I will not update or run v29 of core.

"To the victor belong the spoils."

More coins for me.

Won’t happen, and if it does who cares?

I'm tired of those who want to save Bitcoin.

I'll take both coins and see which does better, since you're offering for free.

Guess Core and Knots v29 will be as far as we go. Didn't get csv and csfs, but with empty mempools, scaling can wait for a new team to roll out a sensible implementation.

🤔

Pau no cu do core team.

Doubt it

I’ve been very surprised how people like nostr:npub1s05p3ha7en49dv8429tkk07nnfa9pcwczkf5x5qrdraqshxdje9sq6eyhe nostr:npub1jt97tpsul3fp8hvf7zn0vzzysmu9umcrel4hpgflg4vnsytyxwuqt8la9y and others I have massive respect for have quickly started running knots. Probably the first time I’ve disagreed with key influencers. I can’t wrap my head around the idea of needing to censor to keep something censorship resistant. It literally goes against all the game theory talk.

I also have a hard time understanding who these knots maintainers are, it just seems like a small group or Luke himself. What exactly is their end game?

Why open op_return?

You’re simply retarded, and so is walker

We are not the ones who want to change things.

I’m willing to admit I could feel out of my depth here, it just seems like putting everything on Luke Dash to maintain knots an equally bad problem. I’m for the idea that nostr:npub1s05p3ha7en49dv8429tkk07nnfa9pcwczkf5x5qrdraqshxdje9sq6eyhe discussed on a recent podcast where there exists many versions of this to decentralize it more.

I guess I’m trying to understand if this is about game theory then the market wipes away the BS on chain.

The end games is Bitcoin Freedom Money. In fact

Bitcoin is THE Global Most Secure Decentralized Unconfiscatable Peer-to-Peer Scarce Hard Sovereign Freedom Money and Greatest Store of Value

As for the Bitcoin Knots contributers:

nostr:nevent1qqs0qqu8j0a4kg8wpcvpfzv23tykqhh4609nnvarz0hgn3q3twmjt8spzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezumt0d5hsz9thwden5te0dehhxarj9ehhsarj9ejx2a30xm5w6v

You can read this and think again about why people are running Bitcoin Knots.

nostr:nevent1qqsyc8m04al84ate6tgkwhvz7s72rhezwn5rp39r0dtvfkhfj9jkm4cppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qyg8wumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnddakj7qg4waehxw309aex2mrp0yhx27rfwsh8qatz9u4zcfwt

I can’t help but to think this too.

I don't think the issue is so philosophically complex.

Is filtering email spam a censorship?

I don't think it is. Same thing with spam on Bitcoin.

Censorship on Bitcoin is stopping/blocking monetary transactions.

Adam also said this.

Not sure if this is still he opinion. He makes different statements and seem very very very confused.

Which is not typical for real Bitcoiners.

Highly misinterpreted and exaggerated. Who initiated this ugly campain?

I feel that you’ve proven incapable of independent thought
