I know that it’s money but should I give it to Gaza? Should I save them to boost important notes?
Also what drives reach on here… this place is so strange to someone raised in algorithms. Literally cannot understand a space without them. I need to do some unlearning for this.
Use them like reactions.. If you like a note zap it.. Or keep the sats for a donation when its more... For reach you want to have a lot of followers (alsl for your own feed you want to follow a lot of accounts and tags).. And use hashtags for your posts... And btw, welcome! 💟

That’s one of the major goals of nostr is to let users choose their own algorithms, so you can follow hashtags and add them to your feed up top. For example, my app posts to #LearnWithNostr and I can pretty much see the progress my users are making when they onboard through TikTok, and I follow #permies because I’m currently farming in Mexico and like those people.
Another simple way is honestly just finding posts you like and engaging via comments in the thread. It’s not so much about gaining a following here as much as being familiar and sharing values with folks. You shake hands one at a time basically. Content can sometimes do it, but the community here so far is relatively small and focused.
Sometimes people get upset with the Bitcoin/Nostr tilt on the main feeds but there’s a lot to explore there. For example the app I made creates scholarships when people make progress. So it’s really just a matter of exploring what you find valuable and working hard to be the change you want to see, which you’ve already done plenty, but in many ways nostr is more a challenger system. Most of us believe that things are going in the wrong direction, and we want to be modest and humble in our attempts to move in the right direction.
Perhaps for you that could be developing tools, introducing existing tools or attempting to create drives to leverage whatever these tools provide.
Bitcoin and its possibilities may be knew to you, but remember that the core tenants is censorship resistance - in many ways this technology allows us to put our hands through the screen and hand it to others directly without any government oversight or retaliation.
It is permissionless technology that we often call “freedom technology”, for good reason too.

You can should save them or spend them on something that is important to you. Zap nostr notes, boost podcasts (on Fountain app), send to musicians on Wavlake, buy something locally using https://btcmap.org/ or just keep them for the future as they likely 10x in dollar value.

Welcome. Just use them however you want to use them. You can push content you like, podcasts you like, musicians etc.
Or you HODL them a little bit and there are tons of digital services you can already pay with some sats, AI that doesn’t spy on you, image creation, web hosting, node running. You have to change paradigm! Follow your instinct and use these sats for what you like or for what you believe in. If you don't like anything, keep them for yourself. Do what you want. (Surting the few profiles that talk about Gaza wouldn't be bad)

Sats are small units of Bitcoin. There are 100 million sats in one Bitcoin.

Also it’s not that #nostr doesn’t have algorithm, it’s rather that anyone can build the algo they want. There’s a marketplace of algorithms that put the users in control. For example in Primal, if you click on the top of the app, you’re able to switch between different home feeds, from “latest” to “trending notes”. Those trending notes are based on replies/reposts and zaps they received.
If you’re able to get sats to the people who need them most in Gaza, I’m sure many people here on Nostr would want to help. If it can purchase food/medical supplies.

I have a mainstream Social Media account that allows me to view uncensored vids of the genocide being enforced there. All I can tell you is ... the Israelis (perhaps most 'Jews') are simply not humans ... they are, in reality, Demons who get funded by the USA (and by Occupied Germany).
Palestinians will be wiped out within the next month, unless large numbers can be shifted to Libya, as proposed by Trump.
Suggest you keep your Sats until you become older and wiser. These times are too perverse to support idealistic guesses.
