I was thinking that you could add a "Contacts" list and list-editor to Hivetalk, as the minimum viable method. For impromptu video calls and audio calls. Like predefined rooms. Could even group the contacts, like Teams or WhatsApp.
Put up a zap goal and see who's willing to pony up, for that. Call it "Fone a fren". 😅

yup - we allow up to 3 rooms and 5 calendar events on this current iteration. So you can have a set time and send your friend a link for a time, event details and room.
The spec for these rooms and the associated scheduled meetings were merged into NIP-53 last week.
