That's not gonna happen, acceleration will only increase. Try easy-diffusion, it's quite simple actually, it's a great project.
ChatGPT is great for what it is, but I prefer running stuff on my own. I've been using Linux pretty much exclusively since 2005 😂

Lots of censorship on gpt. Had midjourney previously. Was censored too but that thing was beautiful. I have yet to see another ai as beautiful

I run some small text models on similar hardware, but I've never tried image gen.
Other option is Mac mini m1. Most probably faster but it’s the daily driver
