i'm kinda glad i don't have to experience dating apps...
are they a necessity these days??
The apps make meeting people convenient which I actually think is bad for dating. We all get a mentality of some next best thing just a swipe away. But also I haven't tried anything else and just whine about being single 😅
Actually I think you’re totally right! Also the time preference is really high… people expect me to be free for a date literally the week I meet them and idk that just seems… so fast to me
I was always taught to demand at least a week's notice for a date and now men are just like, no thanks 😅
But I also like notice for activities with friends or classes, like, providing some time is normal when planning? It's not normal to be immediately free and I thought that read as desperate? What do I know 🤷♀️

Any dating app will commodify you and try to package you in parts because there's not enough of you to go around. Even a nostr dating app would be that way.
Actually, the modern world tries to do this to you everywhere, not just dating apps. Connections are spread thin and deeper connections have become more rare/difficult. You seem like a force of nature born to counteract this stuff, so it's good to follow your instincts on where to focus your attention.

Yeah actually I tried to explain zaps to someone on bumble on they said “that sounds really confusing” and then… I had to lay down
And re-evaluate everything… life, death, art, money, business, politics, the internet, all of it
I just got absolutely rekt by some girl I met on bumble. She absolutely elicited trust from me and then stomped on my heart and ghosted me.
Definitely gonna take me a bit to pick up those pieces.

Hopefully it’s because something better is meant for you which I think is true from what I know of you :) ghosting is really low behavior and a sign that someone doesn’t know how to properly communicate through the hard stuff
