the meat people who make fun of vegans are usually big fat slobs who eat too much meat,
but there is some weird vegans who get mad at anyone who eats meat and calls meat eaters disgusting and names,
my opinion is we need meat, and there isn't any alternative yet for meat but I do believe someday there will be plant alternatives to meat that will be equally healthy to meat, then I will switch over, but until then, we need meat for strength.
The meat industry pushes hard not to allow plant based alternatives, and most people someday won't be capable of accepting the truth, that we can have plant based meat alternatives,
it's a tough fight, but we will win, I already found replacements for milk, like rice, oat, almond milk,
i like meat so I eat it but looking forward to plant alternatives,

my dad was a vegetarian when I was in 3rd grade … then in the next few years became a vegan. Now it’s mainly called plant-based diet. Different names, same concepts.

Tbh I don't understand people's obsession with consciousness. For me personally, the most relevant factor is whether my food can talk.
The only reason plants aren't conscious is because conciousness would use up more of the plant's energy than it could return, not because the life of a plant is somehow less valuable than the life of an animal.
