Because I want to follow Bitcoin news, was never really on twitter, and dislike being a product so I limit my exposure to other social media platforms.

Because a simple question like this yields good answers and a lot of people I want to follow.

Also, over the long-term, Twitter is depressing.

Because Twitter is a piece of poop 😡

Unlike many others, I had a fantastic experience on Twitter. My timeline was/is? so wholesome with generative art, poetry, history & nature pics and very little toxicity. But in Jan, for about a week, TL was rekt with same posts showing up over and over.

So decided to check Nostr, thanks to Amethyst. It was so odd initially as I couldn't figure anything out, global spam wasn't helping. Then global got better, there were new features every other day + the community vibes are 🔥🔥
