We currently have a "Streetfood Festival" in my town. Perfect occasion for the technocrats to test out their KI-powered surveillance tower ๐Ÿคฎ. This isn't a picture from China, this is happening in #Switzerland...

Aren't you feeling much, much safer now?

Yeah, I feel sooo safe now ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ™ˆ.

And after the festival they'll just "forget" to remove it and after a while it can't be removed anymore because of Denkmalschutz. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Yupp, they surely gonna start using it now for all events, and after a while will conclude "it works, we can let it stay". Meanwhile the town has already been peppered with video surveillance cameras before of these new ones.

Also in 2023 they literally planned to give police the legimitation to examine your phone whenever they want, which luckily didn't came through for the time being ๐Ÿ˜ฌ.

Truly outrageous. Heard about the cameras before, but not about the phone examinations. At least in Switzerland the people have the last word and hopefully they then would make the smart decision, although I have my doubts.

Do the swiss people have the last word though ๐Ÿค”?

Majority voted against:

- Fedpol

- Sommer-/wintertime

- Mass immigration

- Electronic identification (E-Id)

All of these votes where ignored. Well atleast regarding the E-Id we have a second chance to say No. But the technocrats just repeat the game until they win ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ.

Article about the phone examinations, if you are interested ๐Ÿ˜:

You're right. And if the vote is not completely ignored then often it's watered down in the legislative process to a degree you don't recognize anymore what you've voted for. I know, it was more the hopeful, then the realist in me writing these words. I go cry now. ๐Ÿ˜ข

Thanks for the link to the article.

I always considered switzerland as one of the only real democracies in the world because you have direct referenda. Am I wrong? Did they manahe to subvert the system? Or are those not binding.

The system is based on subversion. Votings are binding, but everything is a question of definition and the meaning of language. If media matrix (mass media) tells the citizen that everything is fine, then everything is fine, even if the house is burning.

Quick example how they ignore the votings:

Majority votes against vanilla icecream.

Politicians interpret it as: Majority is against plain vanilla icecream, it wants vanilla icecream with chocolate bits.

In theory your country has the ability to initiate proposals right? Is this deal with the devil style where in theory they could propose it in such a way that its really hard to circumvent? My country used to have referenda and they didn't do this because the referenda were non binding, they chose to plainly ignore it and then illegally removed them altogether.

Thatโ€™s nearly every street corner in the UK nowโ€ฆ but donโ€™t worry, any areas left uncovered have been covered by some bastardโ€™s Amazon doorbell. There is no hiding.

Who've thought 1984 would be opt in...

The European Union is now worse than China. We are governers of totalitarian technocrat bureaucrats. Better run away from here! It gets bad!

Still collecting donations for my rocket to the moon project ๐Ÿ™ˆ

What project is it? Anyway, nice to meet you. I'm in Italy

Its a running gag of mine, to build a rocket either as an escape vehicle, or to shoot the technocrats to the moon ๐Ÿ˜

Trust us, as we don't trust you

One has to simply love our global state (of) police.

They will get rid of corruption next.

Of course I see and I understand why many people are so reluctant to having surveillance cameras all over the place, but I am actually all in favor of them. Because there is an essential difference between surveillance itself, which protects our fundamental rights no to be attacked, and monitoring of our private communications, which constitutes an infringement of our fundamental right on private property. People are scared of cameras because it reminds them of the 1984 novel, but the real threat is not as much an Orwellian world as a Brave New World as depicted by Huxley.
