Has anyone thought of loading up cash google play gift cards and buying essentially Bitcoin via Nostr.....

ie . cash to Google Play store gift card at a store ( Non KYC )

Would this in theory mean your buying non KYC SATs ?

Yes, but if the IRS found out it's technically tax evasion

explain further , how would it be tax evasion? it's saying it's not charging me tax is this why ?

Technically it would still count as a taxable event, not to say you couldn't get away with it, just if caught and large enough amounts you'd probably get in trouble if you didn't report it.

Super interested in this! #following 👀

Does it make sense, am I making sense 💭

Are you talking about purchasing a google play voucher, using it to buy zaps ⚡️ from primal in bulk then transferring it to another wallet?

yes ...

I imagine that to open a primal wallet that can be topped up by Google Play vouchers, you have already performed KYC and when you redeem it, you will be logged in so Google knows who you are and what you are buying.

When you pay cash on a google play gift card there is no cash it's considered cash 4 cash value .... no KYC when it's uploaded to your so called play store balance there still isn't anything with your name attached ... ie it was a gift from someone ( gift card ) .....

Sales Tax on Purchase of Gift Cards:

No Tax on Purchase:

Typically, gift cards themselves are not subject to sales tax when you buy them. This is because a gift card is considered a payment method, not a good or service. It's essentially viewed as an exchange of one form of money (cash, credit, etc.) for another (the gift card).

so Nostr is charging 4.99 exchange rate currently...

330 Satoshi difference.... I'll take that for non KYC ... even if it was 500 SATs not too bad

But surely you're KYC-lite with google right? So then they can easily deduce that you are buying sats. But I guess it's not logged onchain 🤔 I suspect that if large volumes of play vouchers started flowing through a single account though it might raise suspicion? Interesting thought you've had here!

Not sure but I’ll repost for ya. Nice calculator btw. 😎🤙

It won't let me change the amount from $4.99.

I’m still missing the step of how one buys Sats in Nostr via google play credits (cash purchase google play gift cards).

Is it like Apple Cash in the apple wallet and then one can add sats to say speedwallet via Apple Pay? (Or whatever wallet allows you to buy sats with apple or google wallets!?)

how do you buy sats on Nostr?
