I am generally able to spend Bitcoin day to day, peer to peer, generally through local businesses I and others have onboarded.
Do you spend Bitcoin regularly, if so, what’s the most common purchase you make? Mine is coffee.

I have bought milkshakes from Steak'n'Shake and I bought some stuff from a guy down the street. (He wanted to give it to me but I made him setup a wallet and take 50k Sats)

Based man, thank you for making the world a better place through your economic action 🫡🧡
If you ever decide to garden. We got you man.
Appreciate u v much 🤞🏼🫡
I have never spent BTC or sats save to zap people here. Not for lack of interest, but just because I don’t have much and because I haven’t ever seen anyone local even mention accepting it.
It has to start somewhere. For me it starting just by asking local business owners. A lot of them refused but the few that said yes have benefitted a lot from my sustained business. It’s scary to ask and put yourself out there but if they say yes it is very rewarding.
You can also use Bitrefill at most big box stores (Walmart, Amazon, Home Depot, etc. etc.) which sends a market signal that they should integrate their own Bitcoin payment processor so they can get that business instead of Bitrefill.
I am more cash poor and am looking more for opportunities to EARN BTC than spend it atm. lol. If you know anybody that would be interested in home-cured meats, or in patronizing my music or podcast. lol.
That’s fair and I will definitely let people know about your stuff, I do know people who are into cured meats.
What I’m suggesting isn’t to change your life too radically but to just use Bitcoin as your money here and there. You can go to places you regular or swap out one thing that you usually get at a big box store at a smaller business instead. Let them get to know you and once they recognize you, make the proposal to them. It won’t work every time but it will sometimes.
There is a distinct lack of mom and pop stores and local businesses around here. What I have been focusing on instead is trying to convince people that otherwise lack the capital for “on the books” businesses to start sat-based micro economies (eg: buying small budget things like a single cut of my home-cured salami roast, pictured).

Which places in NH have you orange pilled? I go there every few years to visit family
There is a local business in Hooksett called Robie’s which is a general store that sells local meat, eggs, and raw milk. It’s also a restaurant and sells lots of other stuff. I also got a local sour dough baker to take Bitcoin, they are in Epsom but do deliveries in a 25 mile radius. There is a french cafe in Portsmouth that takes it. There is a pizza place in Keene that takes it. There are a few friends I have who do various things, home work, growing greens and vegetables, and other things that I have gotten to take it. I can DM you if you are curious about more specific details too.
Bruh. That’s dope! You’ve been busy. DM me more deets
I did not onboard all of them all by myself. NH has a pretty large and active Bitcoin/crypto community. But I did onboard most of those examples myself and I make sure that those other places that other people onboarded continue to receive my patronage for taking superior money 🧡 one ape weak, many ape strong 💪🏻
That’s brilliant. I wasn’t aware NH was so far ahead!
That’s the purpose of my account, to let other liberty lovers/Bitcoiners know how awesome NH is.
Well shit. I or my brother will inherit some land in NH from my mom when she passes. I might move out there if NV doesn’t get its shit together.
Awesome, let me know when you visit out here. I almost moved to NV since it’s MUCH closer to where I used to live but NH is vastly superior for the things I value.
Why NH vs NV?
The number 1 reason is the strong liberty/Bitcoin community which is largely the result of the Free State Project. The laws generally are also very good, NH is empirically the freest state in the country.
There are actually at least 101 reasons to move to NH. Here they are https://101reasonsfilm.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/9/2022/11/LiveFreeAndThrive_101_Reasons_-_final_version.pdf
I’m gonna read that and seriously consider moving. We like Reno NV but it doesn’t always feel like the best place to live being so close to California.
I'd love to buy ground meats from people with Bitcoin to use in my jerky business (www.mailboxmeat.com #bitcoinaccepted), but so far, no one has hit me up even though I've asked, so I guess it's a pipe dream!
Been talking orange pill to my farmers for years
They just be getting by. Savings sounds like a pipe dream so accumulating an unknown magic money is an even further stretch 🤷♂️
I've seen people on here selling meat but not accepting btc, so it's definitely mind-boggling.
How close in proximity would they need to be? And what kind of meats are you looking for?
I make jerky from ground beef, bison, elk, and chicken. I'm in Minnesota 😎
Coffee rec?
I get my coffee from a local shop that I got to take Bitcoin. If you brew your own coffee, nostr:nprofile1qqswaptqf78vde8zf78272nzf5zza02rrkhyfrlpzau6mnakhdu9whsppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qyt8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewvdhk6tcez0kq7 seems like a solid pick. https://sats.coffee/our-beans/
Thanks Liberty!
Tess, happy to answer any questions you may have. Hope to ship you beans sometime!
🤝
Hi! Do you offer dark roast? I saw Ethiopian was medium but maybe I overlooked it on the others.
No...all of our coffees are city roast which a light/medium. This way you get the actual flavors of each bean. Dark roast is not our preference for that reason because the main flavor is basically roasted bean.
However i understand some like the dark roast so I offer a SATSpresso off the menu. It's a very dark roast. Just note that you want that if/when you order...typically takes an additional week or two until it's roasted so plan accordingly!
Got it! Thanks for the info. I’ll keep that in mind, could be good gift idea.
