I see it, on Amethyst
I think edits are only visible in Amethyst, for some reason. I've noticed that my edits never show up when viewing edited notes in other clients. Which is dumb. Clearly, it's possible to view edited notes. I'm not sure why other clients don't support it.

Most of them don't have a strong opinion about it. They are just prioritizing other features.

It seems like a worthy feature to implement across clients. We all make mistakes, and the ability to revise or edit a note helps to ensure that the author's intent is accurately reflected.
in terms of user experience, amethyst's edit feature is straightforward & easy to use. i can also "propose edits" to other users' posts, similar to git.
That's right. I forgot about that. You can propose edits, and the user gets prompted to review and apply the edits. Very cool feature.
