Love of money is the root of all evil.
Yes, that includes Bitcoin.
Stay humble and seek eternal things first.

No, love of money is the front door to a particular type of evil.
Human nature is the root of all evil. We all possess it and it always leads to unwanted harm on others.
so i've gotten this one thrown at me by certain people when I'm trying to explain bitcoin. they don't actually focus any time on investing because they are busy being productive, helpful, sharing people.
Apart from judging their shallow depth of thinking, how is a good way to respond?
I even met a university coach who complained that the university was not adequately funding the rowing program. In his words:
"the university is the richest in the world and has a bunch of gold in a vault, but i need working boats and oars to train kids."
Is this what "love of money" is? when certain people (perhaps me) with sticky fingers just see it as a game to collect and not deploy in anything useful?
I guess if their message to me is " you love money too much" then mine is
"Y'all don't love it enough"
The intersection between religion and bitcoin confuses me sometimes for this reason.
Bitcoin is eternal though...
