I'm really looking forward to Sol:OS 1.0. I truly love the display tech, but the OS feels like a regression for a daily GrapheneOS user.

I'm patient, though!

+1

Agree. I honestly was so disappointed about the OS, that I shelved the Daylight.

I knew it wouldn't be GrapheneOS, but still I couldn't get myself to use it.

So I am looking forward to Sol:OS 1.0, however not so patiently ...

I haven't quite shelved it... It's still far superior to all my other options for long-reads on a device (which is basically all i want it for).

The Reader app has _some_ promise for note-taking and highlights - but it has a long way to go. namely, it keeps yours notes hostage and doesn't integrate well with anything else, including the filesystem. Once that app is a viable integration point for notes, this device will be a holy grail for me.

Yes Sol OS is required for privacy focused users

Can't wait!

Excellent, dc-1 is my favorite tech since my mp3 player

That’s great! Ready

I'd love a de-googled DC. Any chance of offering a fork of Sol:OS that is more like graphene OS? I just noticed the google keyboard has used 80MB of outgoing data. What is it sending to the mother ship?
