No. Bitcoiners who understand bitcoin fully are authoritarians. There will be bitcoin everywhere no matter who votes what, everyone will accept it as payment no matter if they like it or not, I will do whatever and however I want always, will not stick to any laws, traffic lights are a recommendation to me, will not pay any taxes to anyone, will buy goods and services from whoever I want, including roads, schools, and physical security.
The stronger ones will be ungovernable, the weaker ones will adapt to the nearest ungovernables. Sounds authoritarian to me.
Bukele has the most bitcoin in the area, so he is ungovernable. The tatooed lunatics have no bitcoin, and Bukele likes them shaved and locked up, so that is how it is.

Thatās one way to look at it. The other is, he put an end to corruption. I guess I donāt consider ms13 members or affiliates, political opponents.
He removed them from the equation and the nation flourished. His people seem to approve.
Iām talking about one story in particular that has gotten almost no coverage.
Canāt say I know much about it. Sounds sketchy for sure. Considering the amount of corruption the country is known for, itās tough to imagine some remnants of corruption donāt still exist, even after Bukeleās sweep.
But the accusation of government corruption from a previous government official just sounds like the pot calling the kettle black to me.
For me, itās simple. Signal to noise. Would I walk in the streets of San Salvador before Bukele? No.
Would I after? Yeah, definitely.

Monarchy is better than democracy.
This is popular view among some, but itās not true - as is clearly the case by the most wealthy nations.
But - u have a point - democracy has failed many times after it is changed by corrupt people using corrupt (fiat) money. Is the problem the democracy or the control of the printing press for money?
Anyone put in the current system we call democracy today will be corrupted - however so slightly. Those not corrupted leave the system eventually knowing they canāt change it. Ron Paul may be the oldest in this camp.
He started a school, but any private enterprise competing with Government education has to fight unlimited money printing. If people understood who the real bad guys were they would push back.
Statements like this made in a vacuum are not useful. You always have to compare to the alternative, not to an idealistic leader that doesnāt exist.
And taking that into account heās way better than Salvadoreans have ever seen.
Also, donāt judge from afar, go there and talk to people.
Basic security is worth more than democracy to most people.
