Hmm...I dunno, generally when I dread some type of workout this much, it's the best thing for me. I get steps walking dog, but not enough to counteract my diet it seems. Not fat, but a lil paunch showing in some of my pictures lately was a wake up call 😓

It might be the alcohol (responsibly enjoyed with dinner, regularly), and generally eating however I like (we keep mostly good stuff around, but still). I'd rather exercise more than diet. Sure, I'll never have washboard abs, but that's acceptable to me
I’m sorry to tell you this but there is no in between. Cut the alcohol first to see how it goes. If you need more, cut all sweets and carbs

My diet is good! Home cooked. Drink is the obv problem, no doubt about it. I'm getting a tight stomach just thinking about cutting that. Not a great sign lol. Sigh...what have I become
What’s your day look like meal by meal?
Breakfast is rare, just coffee with some half n half (no sugar), sometimes 3 eggs and toast if I'm hungry. Lunch is leftover dinner often, and dinner is a variety of things, from simple rice and terryaki bowl with a side salad, to chicken Dijon and fries (home made, except fries) or steak/chicken/fish with veggie, a side...you get the idea. Big portions. A couple cocktails consisting of bourbon and ginger beer has become the norm too 🫣

Cocktails (can get sugary) replace with straight bourbon on the rocks or TSL (tequila, soda, lime)
Anything fried
Toast
Rice (this one is debatable)
Beer needs to go asap
Don't drink beer at home, so that one is easy.
Lose the ginger beer, less bread. Think I can manage that.

Was talking to zeta yesterday and part of convo was I'd start jogging a bit. These seemed good. Running on gravel feels like you're on a treadmill! I'm a super noob runner, only trying to do 20-30 mins, with some short walking breaks for now

Asphalt. Was told it is softer/better. Track ideally but haven't bothered yet

You can also do intermittent fasting (which reduces your eating window) and skip a meal once a week
Yeah, that's on my to-do someday list. Along with water fast that you advocate for.
Start slow and build it up. For example, cut back a meal that you don’t care for like breakfast or dinner ( for me it’s dinner) that way your eating window is 8hrs and fasting 16hrs
Once you have that mastered, once a week you go ahead and skip one meal (that way you get 24hrs+ no food)
This way you’ll be in a calorie deficit while eating everything you enjoy
