been walking 2+ miles at least 4+ days/wk for the last year & haven't lost a pound. My clothes fit a bit better but this is super discouraging. I've been eating a bit better (trying carnivor). I'm realizing that diet is at least 90% of the battle. Any tips? #plebchain

My mom has a Fitbit and takes me for walks and the app tracks her calories in and calories out. She lost weight, but I didn't cause I like to sneak treats off the counter when she falls asleep. Don't tell her. Woof!
What worked for me was drinking only water (no alcohol, no coke - soda, not cocaine - or other sugary drinks), physical activity of at least 30 minutes per day (running or spinning), and I met with a dietician to teach me about portion control and creating balanced meals.
Persistence prevails when all else fails. Hang in there my friend 👊
No sugars, no grains, no seed oils. Period, end of story. The weight will fall off. It’s all about dietary discipline. Working out is for tone, not weight loss. Godspeed.
If you run instead of walk you will boost your metabolism, burn more calories.
When I was experimenting with nutrition, I lost ~15 lbs in 6-8 weeks with the combination of keto + intermittent fasting. I did that for about 8 months, then tried carnivore for a month, and been on a mostly balanced diet since then and stayed at the same weight since. Only constant for me has been the intermittent fasting. There’s no one size fits all, best thing to do is learn what your body likes and doesn’t like and stick to what makes you feel good.
I have a few tips for ya!
Cook all your own meals to avoid processed foods and instead of using cooking oils use animal fats. (I’m happy to share recipes!)
Eat fermented foods and avoid carbs, grains, soy, and excess sugar.
Incorporate a Pilates routine either before or after your run. It doesn’t have to be intense start out with a 7 min one and build.
Drink water mostly & green tea when you need some caffeine.
Be mindful of what you eat + intermittent fasting + working out at least 3 times a week. That’s was I’m doing currently and it’s working out great !
Two tips- resistance training especially bodybuilding type exercises focusing on hypertrophy and try tracking your diet -at least for a little while- with an app like chronometer to get a sense for how much food actually puts you in calorie deficit.
