Not only is Pete clearly a daily user of bitcoin, he uses #monero when he had to recently to make a donation. He uses #tether when he needed to in South America because he had to. He's a pragmatic user of freedom tools who's done more for the space and his home town then you'll ever do if your lifetime.

i would like to think this way, but honestly i feel that people are married to their follower counts and egos. they don't want to put in the work to start over.
Privacy is not the reason I am using nostr.
Also, cohorts do not switch social networks. What happens is a new generation refuses to join their parents network and is FORCED to find alternative home.
nostr is competing for the post TikTok wave of teens, not 40+ year olds on Twitter.
i feel it's a little of both, a new generation wishing to use something different than their parents used and the old generation looking to try out new things.
I'd wager all of them that use it for business.

I have about 60 on twitter and a good quarter of them aren’t human. I’ve nearly 170 on here already. For the likes of me it’s an easy move and gives better access to those who are at the cutting edge
