What if we had a feature where people youβve muted could pay to be unmuted?
That way theyβre paying for the privilege of annoying you. lol

If you mute everyone by default then BOOM, you have paywalled content
Everyone IS muted by default if you start out not following anyone.
But seriously, id be interestes in encrypted messages which when decrypted and read grants you some cashu or lnurlw. you (and others) could know the amount its worth before decrypting to view the ad/message
If you mute people do you still see their zaps?
ππππ you just reminded me of something super funny
in the digital sex worker space this is a thing looool where the girls will block and mute men and then have a known fee for them to pay n send to them with a note attached saying to unlock them & their username
itβs a loop theyβve created n I find it hilarious
Fucking genius.
Thatβs the kind of monetisation minds we need to bring over here π
Absolutely π
The market speaks! π
And thereβs of course men who get the thrill of getting banned and ability to pay to be unbanned. Everybody wins

I often want to send an invoice when I read a terrible take
Only if the payment went back to me... would have to be over 1000 sats.. and I am assuming there would be a grace period before I could unmute them again so they get their moneys worth...
I think there would need to be a setting for us to allow such things also, especially certain content.. most people I mute is because when I open my stream I see porn or someones nuts on my screen, so they get instablocked.. I wouldn't want them to be able to pay to come back even...
It may need to be more than 1000 stats π€£
sooooo, just traditional advertising? π
This is mute bait π
