Considering a free trial of Apple TV so I can watch Foundation. Loved the book, and the pilot episode was solid.

I have never read the book, but I enjoyed the show. I spoke with others who loved the book, and said the show changed characters and made choices that seemed “purely for woke signaling” and such. Some people blow that stuff WAY out of proportion though so I have no way to compare, but just a warning in case that sort of things annoys you. I know how infuriating even small things like that can be for a story you are already in love with 😆
That said, you should get Apple TV+ anyway. They have seriously high quality production and I’ve loved practically every show I’ve watched up there. Even the obviously political leaning shows don’t really sacrifice the story arc for it. Worth giving it a shot either way, imo.
That’s great feedback! I don’t care too much if a show or movie has a cultural angle… most do, in one direction or another, so I take that as part of it. I’m sold - excited to start this and I’ll definitely explore their other series 🤙🤙
Foundation show is pretty solid - more emphasis was placed on the empire, which was very interesting for me.
While you have Apple TV, be sure to watch 'Silo'. I didn't read that book series, but the show was great SciFi

I’ve seen all the episodes up to this point and it seems pretty cool. Not nearly as good as The Expanse though, which has a much different style of storyline and a series of books that are definite page-turners.
