I'm always happy to be convinced of the use case. I just don't see it. Writing data to the blockchain, cool, I see that. Writing jpegs to the blockchain, what's the point? Not saying it should be banned or censored or anything like that, its free market economics in action. Someone is willing to pay to get their jpeg written so it is being written, I just don't see the point in it all.

The movie is different this time. This one features node count going up, maxis committing suicide, usual traders getting rekt, ETHbois making the leap to The God Chain, security budget going parabolic, Odell winning his bet with Marty and some collectors amassing generational wealth.
I don't really see any downside to Ordinals. Anyone distracted by them wouldn't be in Bitcoin for the long term anyway but through this new breed of degens on bitcoin we all get to reap the above rewards.

Had to mute Udi and Eric as they are both annoying as fuck but to their credit they've onboarded so many people to bitcoin and will continue to in this cycle. Will they all stick around though?
Some of the discords I'm you are met with a wall of posts about how to run a full node. I've lost count of the people I've pushed to K3tan, RoninDojo and Umbrel.
People come for the "art" but many will be here for the revolution once they work out that stacking sats is the only art they need.
Plus, as a precious ICO degen myself, having that experience as a huge advantage. It really is the wild west all over again and the gains have been worth it so far. I'm sure many maxis will say I'll get rekt in the long run but for many I know, all profits just keep on going back to cold storage. There's a lot more well considered degens on there than people think.
