What is the one Bitcoin book I should have my wife read or listen to? I have most of the big names in print or audiobook format. Just curious if there is one where I should have her start?

I have been solo journeying down the rabbit hole and would love to have my wife join me.

On a side note, I must not be getting the message across effectively because it is one of the only things I can talk about for the last three years, so maybe I need to revisit my sales pitch.

‘Inventing Bitcoin’ is the best entry point imo. Short and easy to understand

Bitcoin Standard is too boring for people that aren’t into the history of money or bought into bitcoin

Thank God for Bitcoin. Jimmy Song

Would she listen to Michael saylor talk to Lex fridman?

Good question. I had the same issue years ago. In my experience, Bitcoin tends to be one of those things you cant "un-learn" and it changes your brain and impacts your view on everything else. That's hard for partners sometimes. If you have big name books, they probably have everything there, and it may prove good that it doesn't come from YOU. It would be just a matter of how your wife learns. Depends on her view, if everything is ok and we can trust government, or we can't, etc. No definitive solution on my end, but empathy and something to think about.

Thank you, very thoughtful response.

Empathy would go a long way I think.

not the Bitcoin Standard. it is soooo boring.

I had a fundamental understanding of Bitcoin because I had someone close explain it to me. With that basic knowledge, I love reading/watching anything by nostr:npub1dergggklka99wwrs92yz8wdjs952h2ux2ha2ed598ngwu9w7a6fsh9xzpc

I found The Mandibles and Creature from Jekyll Island to be more engaging than the Bitcoin Standard.

This may come down to the purpose.

Anecdotal stories like The Mandibles or small segments like that in 21 Lessons help explain WHY.

What’s important to her? How could bitcoin add to her life? I think if you can show her how bitcoin can personally benefit her, it would be more interesting. Boyfriend went down the rabbit hole first and talked about it for a over a year before I had an interest. It was only after I thought bitcoin could make a difference in my life/future that I wanted to read a book about it.

I am going to think on this more. Thank you!!
