I like this. Maybe some (most) of the people who leave after a few weeks/months never make any meaningful connections. I feel like the OG crowd did and that’s why a lot of us are still here

I enjoy these connections but if a friend you have from outside of here joins nostr he's in that WOT pretty quickly right? They can also bring over their own WoT from other socials if they have friends

If a friend you have from outside joins nostr, you follow him. Since you’re in most of the known wots already, then he is too. It’s follows and follows of folllows. Is that what you meant by your first question?

Totally agree. The less you follow, less chance there is of following a spammer. On the other hand makes it harder for newcomers. I guess there’s a balance to be found

I definitely start with a glance at the profile. All reposts? No follow. More posts than replies, probably a no follow.
But mostly its just time and interaction. A feeling of such.

Interesting approach. Been here for a while now and I’m pretty sure I follow some dead accounts who were quite active 3 years ago. Must get around to trimming it back. For follows, I try to use a combo of their level of interactivity and if they post stuff that is interesting to me. Agree with the constant reposters - that’s a good gauge.
