Is there a better keyboard app for graphene that doesn't spy on you but works like gboard?

The default one sucks ass.

FUTO keyboard is decent. Autocorrect and swiping aren’t as advanced and multi-language is kinda meh.

i use unexpected keyboard

Same. The last update is borked in Amethyst, though.

FUTO it also has a pretty good local speech to text feature

I don't know, I think it was called swipe. the Keyboard on my first Android Phone!

Swype Keyboard vanished years ago.

FUTO Keyboard is the newest equivalent.

FUTO keyboard is available in Zapstore or you can get it through their F-Droid repo.

Gboard with revoked network access? 😉

Ahh you can do that on an app by app basis?

That's probably one of the best features of grapheneos

And I use Gboard with network access denied.

Im using heliboard with swipe functionality imported from a file (idr exactly how to do this, there's a tutorial out there). Overall don't have many complaints!

I use HeliBoard and FlorisBoard.

I've used FlorisBoard, just don't remember why I stopped. I think it didn't have some features I was looking for at the time. Maybe I should revisit it.

futo?

There are a few on Zapstore.

Try all of them and simply ensure they don't get the Network permission

FUTO is the best open-source keyboard available. It has no telemetry or other data collection.

FUTO

Heliboard is the option I went with.

Interesting. It does not set the networking permission at all, so no internet connection. That's nice.

I've been using OpenBoard, but don't mined doing keyboard hoppin' if it has all the features I like.

Give the app some minutes to download the language packs and then remove the network permission, problem solved.

I tried other FOSS keyboards, but unlucky the swipe feature is always quite bad, so for now I keep this (sub optimal) setup.

Heliboard, a fork of openboard

Does FUTO Keyboard work on Graphene? I haven't had issues with it on regular Android so far, and it can be installed via Zapstore.

i use anysoftkeyboard
