Why are you, as a man, unarmed in 2023?
Discussion
Unbothered. Moisturized. In My Lane. Focused. Armed to the teeth.
Because I flew on a plane today.
Good question. I was considering getting a firearms license. But here in Canada you canβt carry with one anyway, at least where Iβm from. Range only. Having it in the house though would be nice.
Iβd get one, while you still can.
The more I consider it the more I want to. Worries where our country is headed tbh.
I wouldnβt get one for that reason. If it comes to that, and I donβt think it will, there arenβt enough gun owners or the firepower necessary in Canada. However, having a few does give one a little peace of mind when living in a rural area or playing in the backcountry. Maybe do your safety course, go to a range and see if you like it? No harm, other than a bit of your time. The safety course can be done online and the test should be easy to coordinate in person.
So just get one. Can't you guys have shotguns for hunting?
I believe you still need a license, but might look into that too.
Peace of mind at home is worth it imo π
Since one can never escape living, what is there to fear?
I have my wit
I'm not positive I have the skills that will ensure the gun reduces overall risk rather than increase it.
This is healthy and self aware in a way that I think indicates you are capable of being a responsible gun owner, should you so choose. You can learn the skills and confidence needed but itβs harder to acquire that reverence. π«Ά
That's very honest, but also a very solvable issue. Train. Not all training has to be expensive or tacticool. But, bring armed and dangerous is a very good thing.
