Started wearing a glucose monitor this week to learn more about my body.

Who knew pineapple after lunch could spike your glucose levels through the roof? 😳

It’s kind of wild. Oats spike my wife’s glucose meanwhile does absolutely nothing to me. You do learn a lot.

I don’t eat oats, but I believe it! It’s been interesting to see the difference in numbers between my husband and I. Us women are way too sensitive to glucose 🥲

Overnight oats is the way to go to not have that much a spike from oats

Also they're far more delicious

Used to have those a lot. Good to know!

They are not super accurate sadly

They last two weeks and they get less accurate by the day, that’s true. You can try and regulate them with the finger prick but I’m not *that* fixated on this. So far, it’s been insightful.

I did the same and had things like vinaigrette dressing spiked mine. Thought I was going low carb high protein salad as a way to keep glucose low 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hyper sensitive to balsamic’s sugar content? I haven’t tried that yet…scared to lol I love balsamic 🙌

My understanding is that it is more important to look at how the blood sugar goes down after the spike. If it falls down again quick it is a sign of metabolical health. If it stays high for long it could mean that there is an issue.

Yeah, that’s also something to look at. I’m not diabetic and I don’t have issues related to glucose, but I wanted to see how my body deals with it and how I can improve. Useful tool.

Very interesting. Maybe I'm going to try that also.

Worth a try!

The quickest way to escape the scam that fruit is healthy.

Seasonality might also change the response and your light environment (natural outdoor light or toxic blue indoor led) definitely makes a difference

Eating outside in the sunshine will help blood glucose spike. Also eating outside or spending time in the cold does the same thing.

Try eating it outside only for fruit.
