This Christmas it’ll be 2 years since I took a leap and started an Eclair Lightning node. I had a few difficulties along the way, but I’ve never felt that my funds were at ready unlike when I made a mistake of trying LND. I am still amazed that such a mature and reliable product that is FOSS is available to mere mortals at no cost. I may write a second year overview of my experience with Eclair if there is interest.

that's reassuring!

yes i'd love to hear about it

You must be like 1 of what, maybe 3 eclair nodes on the network?! 😅 Jk but congrats! 🎉

I will say LND has come a VERY long way in the past two years and the last few releases in particular have really ironed out most of the major bugs that plagued with forced-closures for a while. LND 0.20 will be out any day now, and I’m coming up on my 1-year nodiversary since my major reboot rebuilding the node from scratch and moving to a full bare metal server w/ postgresql.

Nice! I still do not trust LND or its eagerness to rollout new features under “Lightning is reckless” moniker

Yeah I do get that…
