Naming the country Israel was the greatest and most elementary trick for Christians imaginable.
It has absolutely nothing to do with the āIsraelā of the Bible, but sure enough hundreds of millions of Christians read that word in the Bible and thatās enough to then defend anything done by the arbitrary government lines that recently received the same label. š

Tbh, I think humans just have a lot of barbaric forms of symbolism or abstract practices, and religion is just one of the many excuses for it or ways to āformalizeā it.
The older I get the less I think āreligionā is to blame for anything, because sure we circumcise potentially due to religious reasoning, but then the ānon-religiousā today literally hold up as an example of justice and pride for people to ingest chemicals that cause sterility and cancer and literally cut their entire genitals off and are mutilated to make a flesh mimicry of the opposing sexual organs or anatomy that is obviously non-functioning and results in life-long, irreversible complications for more than half of all operationsā¦ and this is actively encouraged and pushed onto children when they are afraid of puberty.
It isnāt really āreligion,ā imo, people can just be barbarians and the narratives for why we do it change over time. š¤·š»āāļø

Fired the old contractor after a year and a half of painful slog. Spent 2 weeks meeting and getting estimates on a dozen different things, and now planning to sign with a guy who literally has to gut most of what the previous ācontractorā did and basically start overā¦ and he says they will be in and out in 3 months.
So Iām out like $40k on the other asshole, but things are moving forward and we may actually have the bulk of our house together before summer is over, which would be amazing.

God does not maintain a kingdom in Heaven for Jews and another Kingdom in Heaven for Christians.
Not a single soul gets to the Father without going through the Son. Everyone in heaven is Christians.
Therefore, Christians should rejoice that this land is Christ's, and focus on building His kingdom.
