Just did 45 mins 🧊🛀 in 59°F. Some shivers towards the end, that’s my cue to get out. It’s my path to meditation, so far the most effective method to slow down my system.

How consistent are you with the ice baths? Stopped doing it during the summer, but wishing I had kept going even if it isn't nearly as cold.

I find that even bath as “warm” as 64°F can be really beneficial if done for 30 mins or so.

My consistency dropped a bit the past few months (2-3 times weekly instead of daily), now upgrading my setup to make daily baths easier.

Duration equally if not more important than the temp…

To me it is

Seeing any noticeable differences from ice baths? How long have you been doing them?

I started in January. Did daily for about 3 months then switched to 2-3 times a week (minus travel). Wanting to do daily again so upgrading my setup. It helps me a lot to feel more in control of my day/life.

Thanks for the info. Been curious about this for a while. I am thinking about starting to see if I notice any body recovery benefits from lifting weights or just any overall improvements like mental clarity. Glad to see your seeing and getting benefits from it.

This is the way. Of course, you could do meditation without torturing yourself too 🤷‍♂️🧘

I wish I could! Maybe eventually 😄

A few Yin classes (Be meditation) should help you brother.

Did you meditate in the bath? Like could you focus enough to perform deep breadthing or did it just happen naturally

Yeah I put on a Ram Dass guided meditation

Interesting, i might have to get an ice bath

Rubbermaid 100 gallon tub is a good way to start. Cost a little over $100. If you have a big freezer you could reuse little water bottles for the ice.

But also the cold makes your breath automatically slow down

Interesting, im a fairly avid meditator (I find it particularly useful golfing) but never tried an ice plunge. Thank you for your feedback

Love me some ice baths!
