Sometimes I tell people that I first bought bitcoin around $200 and they’ll accuse me of lying lol and I almost want to agree with them because like it does sound fake as fuck at this point.

Feels like a dream or something.

Another lifetime.

That’s how hard hodlers have won over the last decade. So hard even we don’t believe it.

some things are just crazy in a positive way 😅

more power to you brother 💪

It’s been 84 ….

First Price for me was $2,713.16.

it’s actually hard not to snap out of this dream. every day feels like a hilarious vacation

to*

but it was often also a fight against the bad monetary system

Even for myself buying at 2500 seems insane

Insane. Those gains are unreal bro

It’s honestly mind blowing. What a journey it has been.

I remember feeling like I was too late at that time, not really understanding what Bitcoin was yet.

Imagine going back to that time knowing what we know now? I would be smash buying the shit outta bitcoin like Saylor is now.

Bought in for the first time Thanksgiving 2017 at $8,100. Feels like a dream looking back at the past 7 years.

Nice! 👊💪

A guy and his wife popped in last night and said in a degrading sarcastic tone that "Your hero Trump is making you rich." I told him that Trump needs Bitcoin. Bitcoin does not need Trump. He argued that he heard it from "experts" on the radio and I don't know what I am talking about. So I showed him pictures I am making for a childrens colouring book.

It seemed fitting.

Hahaha I hate these people

And I bet it felt more expensive then than it does now. 🫡🙌

Because you say "I bought 1 BTC at around $200" and they hear "I put all my life savings as well as all my earnings I've ever had between then and now into Bitcoin back when it was around $200 and never made any mistakes from then to now either".

You lied because they heard wrong.

I can’t say I bought at 200 but I did at around 1k. I get the same reaction 😂

I first bought bitcoin at around $11. Bought 2 and instantly wasted them away. Started stacking years later around $300.

Always sounds fake.

Inflation and our income at the time also distorts the perspective. People assume I could just stack 10 coins no problem.

In reality $200 was a lot more money adjusted for inflation + that I was a broke colleague student.

Had to resort to selling my prepaid college meal plan dollars for fiat to stack.

Exactly it felt way hard and way uncertain. Like we were throwing money down a dark abyss

I wish I would’ve have more conviction back then but these were my initial buys. Still managed to stack a good chunk over the last bear market, can’t change the past but you can certainly try building the future you want.

opsec

2013 gang! I feel you.

You can just sign with the key if you really want to prove it.

It’s funny that in the early days this was commonplace and now it’s such an outrageous claim it requires proof lol we are winning so hard.
