I live 50 miles from any stop lights.

I have a deep hatred and enmity for stoplights. The Pavlovian training to instill obedience to a light through the creation of the risk of death, verse a roundabout, and the selective and thoughtful placement of both, is the urban architectural project that is secretly a eugenics project.

The anarchism runs deep in this man.

He is not alone.

When I get back home later at night, the last light before getting into my neighborhood is always red. I do a left turn on it every time, and I feel pretty good about it.

Lolz never change sir, my wife refuses to stop at a red light if no one is around - love that about her

lol if you ever want to experience people without pavlovian traffic behaviors just spend some time in India or southeast Asia

Spent a lot of time in SE Asia. I am familiar with the slow walk to cross the street.

The level of obedience to stop lights and little green man seems to correlate inversely with the perception of authoritarianism of the government

- high authoritarianism; ignore green man

- low perception; stop for green man

This stops being true I'ma surveillance state when you are punished for non-compliance

The green man isnt a psyop, it just indicates a general level of awareness about all other surveillance tech.

i. e. I hate my government; I will ignore green man in protest

It's wild over there. I would certainly die.

pretty sure I did a couple times

Moving out of the city was the best decision of my life

By far

totally agree, Eric. I never cease to move on the red while biking if I see no movement around.

But, we should not forget that many of humans are not yet humans and are indeed in need of these pavlovian condititionings to actually become human, in my honest and not so humble kind of opinion. ( I actually don't like the idea of an "opinion" too, as if a thought can be something more or less than that).

This is the same thought I have every morning on my way to work while I sit at the same red light for 60 seconds and not a single car drives by. Traffic cameras are poison for the soul.

And if you as a pedestrian cross while it's red, because you determined carefully that no vehicles are around, they'll still fine your ass for trusting your own eyes/judgement. Fucking mindless blue puppets.

I once crossed when the crosswalk light was green and a truck fucking blew the stop light and hit me

Damn. Goes to show we shouldn't trust lights, only our own assessment.

Yep I learned that. Luckily I didn’t get hurt

There was a road planner dude that said that stoplights are bad design and should never be used. I wish I could remember his name...

I suspect the color red is powerful and good, like red light for the body (Jack Kruse). This is why they condition us to associate it with danger.

My 4 year old wishes me well by saying "goodbye dad, I hope you don't go through any traffic lights"

She understands the program.

She also refuses to sleeting a room with a google home.

Reading this reminds me I need to move further out & onto a bigger peice of land.

This epoch for sure, even if it costs more sats than I'd prefer.

also stopping the flow is a waste of time and burns more fuel

I'm a roundabout maxi
