Replace the gravy with chili and I'm in. I prefer cream gravy. And it's also good on fries.
Poutine needs a good beef gravy, or it's just not right. I've got a friend who runs a local food truck slanging poutines. I always get mine with bacon, jalapeno & blue cheese on top. It's diabolical 🤤😋🤯🥵

Is the gravy a cornstarch based gravy? Most of mine are roux based so flour. But I do make a mean cornstarch gravy for my loco moco.

A lot of Asian countries have a high prevalence of lactose intolerance so it's not a large part of their diet.

I preferred my theory that they just suck as a culture
Basically populations that had access to dairy farming evolved to have lactase persistence, enabling them to digest lactose into adulthood. Otherwise that ability is lost once you are no longer a child and don't need your mother's milk.
