If there was a First Step in a 12 step sovereignty program, what would it be?
What truth would need to be admitted and faced?
I know some of you out there who normally stay fairly quiet have a whole lot of wisdom to share here.

Admitted we were statist and our lives had become unmanageable.
I think the first step is recognizing that you are not taking as much responsibility for your life as you could be.
Then, realizing that taking additional responsibility for your life is a good thing and should be pursued.
I think most people will rationalize away all of the ways they cede responsibility instead of considering how forfeiting their stake degrades quality of life and human dignity over time.
Be your own central bank (Au, Ag or if you must BTC)
Be your own military (2A or FGC9)
Be your own diplomat (meet your neighbors)
There is no State - just ordinary people who feel themselves entitled to slip all the normal bounds of law and morality in the name of the collective
Understanding our mortality is not a bad start. There's a vague underlying belief of indefinite life when holding on to a false hope of safety and comfort, thinking that if we just play along we'll get to continue endlessly in a familiar system.
Once it hits that you have limited years on this earth, making necessary changes in the direction of sovereignty is not quite such a big deal.
1. Spend less than you make. Learn to budget.
This is definitely a central pillar... Eschewing debt is necessary if you want greater control over your life and how your time is spent.
Being fully sovereign should not be the goal. It’s unattainable. We do, and need, to be a voluntary member of a community. An acknowledgment of our interdependencies is necessary to seek out sovereignty in some aspects/areas of our lives. We are not meant to do it all on our own. We need cooperation, trust, and a belief that there are others who have shared goals.
Once you know this, you can pick and choose the areas of your life that you would like to be more sovereign.
The first step is to recognize your sovereignty, completely. If you're not solid on that, the rest won't matter eventually. It's more than just knowing that sovereignty is right. It is feeling that sovereignty from your core, and from a base understanding. One concept that helps is to know that individual humans made government. This places government on a lower order than individuals. Once you understand that your freedom comes from being, and is not supplied by any external source, the rest of being sovereign is just plain ol' work.
The first step in AA is recognizing powerlessness over alcohol. So in this program the first step should be recognizing powerlessness under a debilitating attitude or slave mentality.
maybe its something like admitting we are powerless to change the establishment directly. and need to approach it like Vaclav Havel's "the Power of the Powerless". which is, parallel construction, and taking responsibility for our own outcomes. But it needs to be worded more simply.
1) You created the path for the outcome you are currently at.
Isn't the first step admitting you have a problem?
I would try to tie it back to identity
there is you and ... there is the state, there is God, there is society, there is family...
we were made with free will to engage with all of those and that decision defines a lot of things
