I just saw one more large lightning node closing all the channels and probably shutting down. Sad 😔 🐶🐾🫡⚡️
I really hope that it’s not the beginning of the end of lightning and just a beginning of a new era!

I always wonder as price increases if even the large node runners get nervous about have large amounts on lightning. It's come a long way but it still feels risky and like the chance of loss is a factor to take into account.
It is very risky! One big could cause a lot of damage and significant loss! It’s unlikely that all the funds would be lost, but there is probably always a chance. And majority of nodes don’t make anything on routing, probably only few bigger ones 🐶🐾🫡

Lots of good long-time noderunners shutting down over the past few weeks. I just got hit with another really expensive FC and as bitcoin price goes up it makes all those lost Satoshi hurt a bit more each time 😢
