I walk my dog everywhere and I tend to spend more money in the places that offer bowls of water outside or have water and dog treats available to customers. It’s a stupid business move not to do it.
And by “customers” I also mean potential customers. It’s not like I haven’t given Starbucks a fuck ton of money in the past. Even if their products and service are complete garbage, sometimes it’s the only option. But because I hadn’t spent any money there yet today, they won’t offer a cup of water, which is something they’ve done for decades. So they can just fuck off.
That’s called a loss-leader and it’s been around forever. The problem is when people abuse it and the the added sales aren’t overcoming the loss. The right fucking thing to do that isn’t taught anymore by degenerate moochers is to reciprocate and just buy something from the business. If that had happened, Starbucks wouldn’t have had to adopt this policy.
They could also do things like improve their products, but I doubt that’s even possible with their current scale.

Why is their responsibly to provide you and your animals free water. Customers get free water, makes sense to me. They are a business looking to make money. I’m not saying their products are great just that their goal is to make money. Providing free water to everyone no longer fits their business. Move on. 🤷🏼
Because it’s the decent thing to do and their competitors do it, so I’ll give my business to a better company and let the market sort it out.
Every place with biscuits is my favorite place and I will never ever forget where they are!
