Maxis entire argument be like
"Monero had more fiat speculation in 2017.
Bitcoin has more fiat speculation now.
That makes it superior."
Is fiat ROI now the primary utility of #Bitcoin?

It's really bizarre isn't it, how all they seem to ever want to talk about is price. Almost like they're crypto degens larping as principled.
I am told that the market price shows the aggregate value people have assigned to an asset π€
I only read the most expensive book for sale. Clearly all other books lack any worthwhile insight.
all books return to one
so every other book is redundant.
I blame the podcasts for spreading VC propaganda
ROI is the primary utility of any investable good. In this case, if you dumped all your monero for bitcoin in 2018 you'd have waaaay more monero to spend now. Fiat too, if that's your gig.
Seems strange you think this is a stupid argument. You say you been around but you start to sound like someone who has no clue about economics and markets. Monero is just another tool for bitcoiners to use - not everyone will use it and they don't have to.
the primary utility of money is censorship resistant transactions.
NOT fiat denominated returns.
you start to sound like just another fiat maxi who calls themselves a Bitcoiner.
stop measuring the value of your Bitcoin in fiat purchasing power.
Money is the prevailing medium of exchange, which are fiat currencies - this wont change anytime soon either.
Since everything is priced in the current medium of exchange, everyone pays attention to ROI in fiat. Even services and goods sold for crypto are priced in fiat and then converted. Fiat gains are to be reinvested wisely, aka stack more sats as it's the best long-term strategy right now. There's really no mistery.
Which brings me again to the point how you consider aiming to increase one's ROI stupid - do you agree someone who bought Bitcoin in 2018 would be better off compared to anyone who bought monero instead (See how there's no fiat involved in this example)?
I agree they'd have more fiat purchasing power.
obviously that's your priority, good luck with it π
They would also have way more monero now, like waaaaaay more. Apparently that's a stupid thing.
I'm not interested in your interpretation of what I said.
If you think you can time the market, good for you.
LINES ON CHARTS!~!!!
So why post then when you are not interested in a conversation about it?
