i do not understand how the establishment was able to convince leftists that a currency owned by the people, with the means of production owned by the people, is less favorable that fake currency controlled by bankers and corporations.

Easy, most don't think critically
Not just a leftist problem but they definitely have a high density of collectivist parrots
wasnt always like that.
honestly, i hate to say it, but it really started happening when the millennials reached adulthood.
These people absolutely do not understand Bitcoin. They regurgitate what they’re told to think and that’s about it.
Most people are completely distracted by identity politics issues and are (quite reasonably) exhausted.
Sure, some people are too financially illiterate to know any better.
Because they still believe they can fix the system within the system, and that the other side just won’t let them do it.
Vast amounts of economic illiteracy and misinformation
The basic problem is that Leftist thought leaders -- for example the economist Paul Krugman -- have been telling their audience now for 15 years that "bitcoin is a scam". The issue is that in order to change their minds, these thought leaders would have to say "Hey, I was wrong, and also -- oops -- my advice cost you, my audience member, literally millions of dollars.".... This is why progress will be slow with progressives... it will basically take a new generation of progressive thought leaders to make this transition possible....
I totally agree with you! It’s a big gap for leftists. The language they keep hearing over and over is just so polarizing. I’m frankly sick of it! I only recently intentionally started talking about crypto out loud with my family members and friends. The language around crypto still speaks only to very few.
Wake up. And by that what I think I mean is let’s figure out a way to have a more approachable conversation. At times it feels like Gen X on crack in the crypto space.🪐
This exactly.
Lefties are unable to admit they were wrong, which makes it really difficult to learn new things.
I’m not sure if its only left, i think people on the right is on the same boat. bitcoin tech is not easy.
There is no convincing of anything. They tell people what to think, and the people think it. My cousin still insists that bitcoin is bad for the environment, no matter what facts are presented
Leftists are not known to be the smartest bunch. It's all emotional diarrhea and slogans with most of them.
Top it off with, they tend to be a resentful, envious bunch.
Top THAT off with they don't tend to be the most productive bunch around.
So you have a bunch of losers who tend to envy and resent those who are better off than them, who through no fault other than their own largely missed out on the juiciest investment of the century.
So now the envy and resentment kicks in, and with it goes the idleness and laziness, and oh look, all those newly rich people, sO uNfAiR, we want our fair share™ of their shit so we can continue to idle by and jack off to pornhub every night.
And so the gravy train goes. There's a lot more losers than winners in anything, and the losers have discovered that they can join as a mob and turn their hateful envy into money in their pockets.

Leftism, not even once.
Because the leftists *are* the establishment now. They've become the party of bureaucracy and corruption, just as many viewed the right 30 years ago.
They have no principles or thoughts of their own
I don’t understand either 😵💫
