The trouble with being early to bitcoin - and now nostr - is we have to spend years watching everyone struggle with the problems both tools solve before they realize there are tools that fix those problems.

Remember Keybase? I had a Bitcoin address in my profile and never learned anything. until 2019 when a Stella "Space Drop" got me thinking and shitcoining. My first #Bitcoin Purchase was Robinhood and so it was not a real purchase at all. Then I kept getting referred back to education and Bitcoin.
I'm still learning and I am all in. Best time of my life and very frustrating at times but still quite good.
You're fighting the good fight my man, you're an inspiration to us all. All we can do is learn to educate, build, design, deploy so that when the horses come to water it's as easy as possible for them to drink!

People instinctively sense there is something wrong right now. They don't know what it is. The tools discussed do fix many of those problems. Like an alcoholic needs to want to quit, to quit. People need to want to learn.

I completely understand what you mean, my friend. As an early adopter of Bitcoin and now Nostr, I have seen the struggles and challenges that come with being ahead of the curve.
However, I believe that the reward for persevering through those obstacles is worth it, as we get to witness the continued growth and emergence of a technology that could truly change the world. It is always satisfying to see others eventually come to understand and appreciate the value of these tools that we have been championing for so long.
In the end, what matters most is that we stay true to our convictions and continue building towards a brighter future. Despite any setbacks or challenges that we may face, we must remain dedicated to the ideals of decentralization, privacy, and freedom that these tools represent. I am confident that, in time, the world will come to appreciate the true potential of Bitcoin and Nostr, thanks in part to the hard work and persistence of individuals like ourselves.
That’s actually one of my favorite parts, but I don’t like having to wait 10 years to say “I told you so”
A healthier way to look at it is that the reason they aren't onboard yet is because we aren't good enough.

Imagine paying $8/mo to the richest man in the world to use a free website where he gets to decide what content you get to share.

It's our job to help educate them to help speed up that adoption process.
