I have been running a btc node for years
I have had nothing but problems trying to run my own lightning node tho.
I had a umbrel that worked with the Zeus app for a week until I updated lnd!!!!
Lnd won’t load now and only gives me a 16 word seed so I can’t even recover the damn funds (only $15 and I never got it on a channel so it’s still just btc in that wallet?)
(I obviously didn’t messed up somewhere and missed where the seed/key was when I set it up?idk)

If running your own node is too challenging you should try the new Zeus when it’s available. We’re embedding the node and wallet into the app and helping with the heavy lifting with our LSP Olympus
Trust me when it hits iOS I will use it.
If anyone can tell me why lnd isn’t giving me 24 seed words when pulled over ssh it would be greatly appreciated as I just want to recover the $15 bucks on the wallet.

Honestly a lot of available solutions are not easy. And documentation available is not clear enough, I guess mostly because they vary a lot from one case to another.
Any links to documentation how to do either.

I have been hearing about LNC and it sounds cool! Unfortunately, nix-bitcoin doesn't integrate `litd` yet.
Using tailscale myself.
Although on the new 8.0 alpha I can create an invoice on my mobile Node and then switch to Alby to pay it but when I switch back the I get the xues logo and nothing happens. Payment never gets received on my mobile xues node.
My Zeus app still takes me like 2 minutes to zap people 😆

Had Tailscale issues as well. Used Lightning Node Connect. Works better.
Do you think in support Nostr Wallet Connect in Zeus? Umbrel already have NWC.
I'm able to connect using tailscale and LNC but I experience connections problems sometimes. Maybe with NWC do not have these connections problems?

Idk why, but I just don't trust lightning node connect. Seems like there's room for error. I'll make my tunnel protocol separate from the control protocol.
Just wondering how the mailbox feature is used since it references lightning terminal.
Also originally I was using lnbits for account management and lnurl features. But getting that reverse proxy setup over Starlink has been a POS so I dropped it for LiT's simplicity.
I didn't have much of a problem using tor with the latest version of your app though. But lnconnect is faster.
