i had a little stock in bitcoin and crypto and was playing with crypto wallets like metamask and bitpay, but then I got on Nostr, and I am currently waiting for a new phone that has nfc so i can play with bitcoin wallets and i cashed in most of my crypto (the ones i could get out)....i didn't get Bitcoin until I was active on Nostr.

I was already orange pilling myself trying to #studybitcoin and find good sources and had no idea I would find home and everything I need when Nostr sucked me in.

Yes! I was asked to give an invoice for 1K sats by a stranger. And that’s when I had to learn of WoS, Lightning and Bitcoin. Never even thought of it before that. 😂

I bought a bit of bitcoin in 2012, and then had some years in the desert making use of it for cash and messing around with ethereum -- took awhile to see proof of stake for what it was, and I hadn't been familiar with the WEF. But #Nostr has reaffirmed my faith in #OrangeLife, and I'm stacking diligently.
I dabbled in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies without understanding the economics or deeper fundamentals. Bought and sold at various times of hype. Cool, yeah. My story is because of nostr i learnt how to buy my first sats. But I have only ever bought t-shirts from nostr:npub1eequz6v23szzyx9utphsh8kg6kll50wte6sfh4vah8gdjtplcz6qg7at9s and zapped people while helping with onboarding nostr users:) though I’m interested in the protocol, especially as a method of payment for retailers. Probs gonna do the blockchain elective in my studies, which means 10 weeks of intensive study on Satoshi, which will be eye opening I’m sure.

little by little, learning on nostr has made me ALL for the orange pill. 😂
Years ago, my son tried to explain Bitcoin to me and gave me a book about it for Christmas. I didn’t understand a thing. It was like someone trying to explain how to build an airplane without mentioning that you can actually fly it. I only grasped that concept with Nostr.
