Folks want to know precisely how many sats were zapped, I'd wager. I know I do.
The more information the merrier. Zaps are a proxy of reputation, I think.
Perhaps clients will add functionality to allow quasi-global feeds related to Zaps received. A bit like StackerNews or reddit. Is it already possible for a client to observe how many sats an event has received?
New relay revenue model? Zaps where a relay collects a rake on the Zap for Sybil resistance. Is there a way to pay to two parties in one transaction on Lightning? 🤔
At very least, the total sat amount for each note should be shown
Looks good. An alternative would be a tooltip when tapping the number to show the exact amount.

If you show how many sats ppl zapped, can anyone using our npub as login access see our notifications too?
If they can, I think it's better to not showing it. Bcs, it'll better and safer to just look at the wallet than notifications in my opinion
Also, If I may. Could we have NIP-58 that support badge event and profile☺️
If zaps are meant to have no regard for an individual's privacy, then I suppose it makes sense to show it if the data is captured.
If your IRL identity has nothing to do with your account then you're set.
Agreed, I'm not trying to say this is a bad idea. I'm thinking of it more from the perspective of, if the event is already capturing the amount of sats I send, then I think it should display that rather than hide it from the user.
If I'm transmitting that data to relays, I want to be aware of it.

Amount might be useful. Sometimes I want to take #[2]'s attention with some crazy, new tech ideas 🤓 Zapping bigger may help assuming other clients provide this feature.

my gut reaction is don't show amounts there.. we should eventually be able to see them in the wallet or etc..
I'd rather people not see what I receive. if added, I'd prefer if this feature was opt-in.

It would be great, if Damus users will be able to see and use the Zap ⚡️ Button from Amethyst users.
For example the Iris users are able to see my Button (I'm using Amethyst), but the Damus users are not 😔.

Amount zapped is highly relevant data. Would be a shame not to use it.
So many use cases. For example seeing the amounts zapped, accounts could easily offer special prizes to the highest zapper after some time limit.
Yeah, I think this would be a good way to conduct polls on nostr. One sat means YES, 2 stats means NO

Total per note is enough. Personally I would rather not see how much each person sent.
