has been fascinating watching Block transform into a bitcoin first company - the largest bitcoin company in the world

in production:

bitcoin buy/sell

custodial bitcoin and lightning wallet

spiral open source initiatives including but not limited to bitcoin dev kit and lightning dev kit

coming soon:

decentralized exchange

lightning service provider

hardware wallets

asics

global self custody wallet

interesting how the transition was handled - most traditional investors/shareholders do not realize this yet

The dope thing is, those developments are not extremely cost intensive, so existing shareholders barely notice.

But they *do* require a leader that has the ability to attract the brightest talent.

Because I don't understand energy markets well enough and it seems like way too difficult a business.

CashApp and Square and other SaaS / Bitcoin software + #[6] at the helm is something I can understand and get behind.

Fair. I hold some positions because they’re low entry point and have laser focus on long term BTC holdings strategy. When looking at the last bull run the multipliers are potentially 10x+, so thinking another bull run could have a similar effect… and if not nbd due to the low entry 🤷🏼‍♂️ NFA🫡

Hopefully they're secretly working on bitcoiners able to pay with lightning at any Square POS device. And then start showing merchants how much fees they're saving to encourage them to promote bitcoin use, and also not to convert.
