Can’t believe you tagged the wrong Jack as well 🀣🀣

Damus doesn’t handle completion of users with spaces in their username. It’s a common issue and something we’ve been brainstorming on how to fix. We use space to end the completion, we need some other manual action to end it instead.

What if you did something like "@jb55/n" to signify it's a noster handle. Would also differentiate us from traditional twitter handles.

We just need to continue completion until you explicitly exit by pressing an X or something

I mid understood, I see the issue now with "@jack mallers". Very peculiar problem

Yeah this is why damus has a username and display name field, so that damus can use usernames for a default pet name that is nice for autocompletion. But not everyone uses that :(

Pet name. πŸ‘

Maybe this can be combined with a petname system. The user should not have to type in a contact's name in the first place and then have to agonize about effing spaces and whathaveyou.

Instead pick one from a list. See there, that's a sane thing.
