The only nostr experience I feel like I'm missing on mobile is [satcom](https://satcom.app/) which is probably the first **original** NOSTR app that isn't copying some existing platform.

Just one (Amethyst). I had Primal installed at one point since I was having an issue with filtered words I couldn't seem to delete, but that issue resolved itself so Amethyst is all I need right now. I'm not just saying that, either. It has all the features I want or need. 
you should install Amber asap (and use fdroid or some other non-google app app to get it)
First I've heard of it! What makes it special to you?
frdoid is an alternative to google play that only provides open source apps
amber is an "isolated signer" which keeps your key and all it does is accept requests to sign things and has a set of permissions controls about what things it will automatically sign, or it pops up and asks you to consent
amber helps you protect your keys from being compromised by a bug in amethyst or other apps... and it also makes it safer to experiment with new apps that do other things, like "pokey", which vitor is always talking about lately, a nostr app that specialises in notifying you of events that you might be interested, like DMs or replies or reactions
Yes, I use Obtainium and F-Droid (via the Droid-ify fork) for most of my apps, fantastic software! 🫡
As for Amber, is a bug that exposes my nsec a significant threat? Also, how does it protect your keys? I understand the signing aspect, but couldn't a bug theoretically expose them in Amber as well?

2. I don't like Nostr apps. They drain the battery and consume data for no reason, and often the developers of Nostr apps are inexperienced and clumsy. Moreover, there are already a billion NIPs that I've stopped keeping track of, and the compatibility between applications is just terrible. I sign events without understanding what is happening, and I don't like that. Usually, Nostr is now anti-advertising for me. If I see that an app is based on Nostr, I won't use it.
Why were you keeping track of NIPs? That doesn't make any sense for users.
For example, to understand which NIP is suitable for private messages this week.
Sure, but you don't need to know nips for that. Basically use Amethyst, 0xchat or coracle instead of damus and primal and problem solved. There is no need to track nips.
Understanding NIP is necessary to know what data you are sharing and in what order with a relay owned by who knows who.

I’ve got 21 nostr apps currently installed on my iPhone.
Just Amethyst, though tempted to check out Citra + Voyage again at some point too. Had web apps thanks to Fennec + Nos2x, but the Fennec fork is out of date (perhaps abandoned?) so no more web apps for now 🙁
One, Amethyst. Technically two with Primal, but it doesn't like my folding phone a whole lot x) Don't think I need much more...

If it doesn't work right or has a bad UI, I probably will stop using it. Some only last a few minutes. These work well enough for now.
That said, I use Amethyst and Fountain by far the most, because they're so good.
