I always wonder how they even manage to get such a deal. Most people in Germany don't work, and the government gives them money, but when I don't work, I don't get any money because my husband works. He would have to also stop working, for me to get a payout.
That's why they don't get married, after all. So that it's easier to get a payout.

i had an opportunity to do it for a season. you do have a lazy period. but that gets so old so fast you start self motivating and managing pretty quickly.

Eh. I never figured out how to get on the dole because I usually quit in firey bursts of temper so I don't qualify. I've been unemployed for just about six months now, even with giving myself lots of solo projects I feel myself becoming unglued. My brain needs some amount of work and feeling of purpose and belonging to keep on generating the fee good chemicals 😅
But it is really wonderful sitting at cafes with Princess Aurora as she greets her adoring public. So it is lovely a lot of the time 💖

i would totally be screwed if i didn't get a new job within 2 months. but hopefully i will have my next job for a good 2 years and stack hard and ride the elevator and be able to do a 6 month hiatus and i'd see if i could get a business started.
I put together a website and am trying to get something started myself but we'll see, I still am applying to jobs. I got lucky with this time as I won a national prize for my research and so had funds enough to coast on a bit. I've got a super weird feeling that I have to write my work NOW THIS YEAR NOW NOW so I'm playing it fast and loose with money to finish my novel and do a bunch of independent research assignments that the voices give me 🤷♀️
I have faith it'll work out soon enough, or maybe I'll be starting an only fans 🤣

lol. that famous quote from einstein springs to mind. but there is other very likely threats that will put us right back to the stone age. iron age if we are prepared a little. steam age if we prepared a lot. and most people washed away and/or covered in mud. or possibly also, lit on fire by the sun, or maybe exploded by a mega lightning strike. speaking of which, in south carolina yesterday:

anyhow, regardless of all these robots, i don't think it's a viable survival strategy to put all your eggs in the smart machines basket. you should check out the storyline of the game Deus Ex: Mankind Divided for one example of how things can play out. i kinda think it will be a blessing to get a reset. the control grid will be gone. maybe i have to chop wood and forge axe heads and gather rocks to build my house, but at least i won't be living under the cloud of endless threats from government and ruling class bullshit.
